Georgia-Cumberland Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

The Adventurer program was created to assist parents in their important responsibilities as a child's primary teacher and evangelizer.  The program aims to strengthen the parent/child relationship and further the child's development in spiritual, physical, mental and social areas.  In this way the church, home and school can work together with the parent to develop a mature, happy child.

Returning Directors

Complete and update information on the Yearly Club Application and submit it to the board/pastor so that the application can be submitted to our office.  Upon receipt of the application at the conference office, you will be enabled to access the Adventurer website following the annual roll over, assuming your Shield the Vulnerable clearance is within the three year coverage.

It is your responsibility to make sure that each staff member (including yourself) completes a screening and training process at Shield the Vulnerable  (see Shield the Vulnerable introduction and instructions, found under Staff Selection/Child Safety at GCC Manual Online at the home page.)  Please ask the staff person who has completed the online screening/training to notify   This will help us get them processed quickly online.  All staff  must complete Shield the Vulnerable screening and training in order to volunteer to work with children and to be eligible for registration for conference events. Parents are also required to complete this background check if participating in any overnight event with your club. If staff/parent has completed Shield the Vulnerable for a different church responsibility, notify so they may be linked to the processed Adventurer staff list.

Please complete these registration forms and submit them at the Adventurer club registration to be announced at your church if a club is planned.  Please be advised that if you will participate in any overnight event, you will need to submit a background check process through Shield the Vulnerable.
