The Georgia Cumberland Conference Publishing Department exists to help reach people for the Kingdom of God through the printed page. This is accomplished primarily through selling Seventh-day Adventist Church literature and reaching out to people who have an interest in spiritual things. Each year our Literature Evangelist knock on the doors of hundreds of thousands of individuals with truth filled literature. For many of these individuals this is their first encounter with a Seventh-day Adventist and our message of hope.
The Publishing Department provides training and support for the Literature Evangelists currently in the field. As well we seek to recruit and train new “labors for the harvest.”
During the summers, the number of infield workers increases with a large group of enthusiastic and energetic students. This includes between 70 and 80 students working on summer scholarship MagaBook Programs each summer. As well several school industries operate during the school. Southern Adventist University and Heritage academy both offer witnessing and scholarship opportunities with Literature Evangelism. For most students this is a positive life transforming experience which not only gives experience witnessing door to door, but also provides the opportunity to earn generous scholarships to go back to our Seventh-day Adventist academies and universities.
