About Us

The Georgia-Cumberland Conference of Seventh-day Adventists covers the geographical territory of Georgia, east Tennessee, and Cherokee County, N.C. It includes more than 220 Adventist churches, companies, and mission groups, along with 30 elementary schools, two junior academies, three academies, and one Adventist university. There is one Adventist hospital and nine Adventist community services centers.

More than 40,000 Adventist members make up the Georgia-Cumberland Conference. The Conference employs more than 400 individuals (including part-time) in roles such as pastors, associates, seminarians, chaplains, ministerial directors, teachers, and support staff. 

We are one of eight conferences comprising the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Nine unions make up the North American Division, which is one of 13 divisions of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church

Worldwide membership stands at more than 19 million, making the Seventh-day Adventist church one of the fastest growing Christian churches in the world today.
