Georgia-Cumberland Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

Church Planting

There are millions of people in Georgia Cumberland Conference territory who are far from God.  We want to fulfill the mission Jesus has given us, by multiplying disciples, and raising up healthy mission minded Seventh-day Adventist Churches.  Some of these will be in new geographical areas; while others can be started among different demographic groups.  As we work together under the direction of the Holy Spirit, there will be people in heaven that otherwise wouldn’t have been there!  THAT'S WHY WE CONTINUE TO PLANT CHURCHES!

Remember, Church Planting is.....

Biblical - Acts 16:9
And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

S.O.P. supports it - 5T p. 20

Place after place is to be visited; church after church is to be raised up. Those who take their stand for the truth are to be organized into churches, and then the minister is to pass on to other equally important fields.

And Church Planting is the most effective form of evangelism.

If a church is less than 3 years in existence, it takes only 3 members to lead someone to Christ.  An established church over 10 years old...  Takes roughly 85 members to lead someone to Christ.

Step by step support, training, and coaching, is provided by GCC leadership.  From consultation and prayer support at the initial discussion stage.
