What is your favorite Bible verse?
Isaiah 55:9 is my favorite because it reminds me that God is more than I can imagine. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.
How are you involved in ministry at your church?
I currently help lead worship in music, help with our live stream, am a counselor in our Pathfinder Club, and am helping my youth pastor form a collegiate Sabbath school class.
How are you involved in your community?
I am joining the volunteer fire department, and I enjoy the simplicity of picking up trash while I walk around the city, being courteous to those around me, and giving food to the homeless I meet.
Was there an experience that changed your life?
God woke me up when I went to Indonesia this past Christmas break on a mission trip. Our project was to prepare the building site for a church where new converts in a mountain village will worship. As I was digging rocks out of the ground with hand-held tools in order to create a firm foundation for the building, God showed me that He was likewise digging the rocks out of my heart. I came back on a spiritual high, but the highs don’t last. I also made a conscious effort, a choice, a decision to seek God first.
What advice do you have for Adventists under 40?
Let’s encourage one another and celebrate who God is and what He is doing in our lives!
