Family Fun Day, held April 7 at John. L. Coble Elementary School in Calhoun, Ga., brought out a large number of community residents. Many local businesses were represented in the mix of professionals who gave away door prizes and offered fun things for kids and adults alike.

Among the booths, Rochelle LePor, D.O., with Northwest Georgia Medical Group, provided entertainment for kids waiting in line by painting their faces. Halfway through the event, Coble Drama team iWitness presented a play entitled “The Burden.”

The bouncy houses, fruit snacks, and photo booth were the favorite activities of the day.

“I loved the Lego’s and bouncies,” said Ethan Epperson, a future kindergarten student.

The event also provided an opportunity for parents to pre-register their students and save money for the 2013-2014 school year. As a result of the Family Fun Day, the school enrolled 12 new students.
